Another foggy morning and a surprise.....

I'm not complaining....I love foggy mornings, especially when they are preceding a day without rain like today.

While I was standing barefoot out behind the house I decided to take a pic towards the pond and one of the Japanese maples that's really coming into it's own.

Then, as I was closing the door and coming back in the house I noticed one of my orchids was blooming!

I'm sure glad they don't have just a certain time of year they bloom. They are such perfect flowers and last quite awhile.

What a beautiful view!! The fog is just stunning!! (she writes as the "buckwheat"s resound in the background). A beautiful pond...little tiny Japanese maple...and lovely orchid!! A very nice surprise!
PS the "kids" found their way to the sliding glass door today and were pecking at their reflection!!!

I know it doesn't pay the bills, but being on strike does pay big dividends in the beauty you get to stay home and enjoy! Breathtaking!

How gorgeous! I love it when we have fog here on the mountain. Everything looks so peaceful and soft.

That orchid is lovely...absolutely gorgeous!

Beautiful! It looks like you could walk right across the fog, just like in "Excaliber". The orchid is such a nice surprise!

The fog is gorgeous - and dangerous! I have much trouble concentrating on actual driving when there is this kind of magic to capture... *sigh*
