Beverage Du Jour

I suppose I'm getting a bit close to having cabin fever. Didn't make it out to work again today. Had more snow last night. You may be getting tired of snow pics but it's the only thing I have available to me at this point in time. :)

This is my beverage du jour......Loco Cocoa....not really sure why it's called that...I can see if you added tequila or something...but it's just a good cocoa with cinnamon in it.

However if it makes me look like the gal on the can I'm prepared to drink as much as I need to.

Note to self: Costco canopies are not designed for heavy snow.

Here's your math quiz for the day....how many Costco canopies are in this picture?

If you guessed 4 you are correct.

The worst casualty is our woodshed/Costco Canopy....hope I got enough up by the house until the snow thaws.....

Remember the cute little raven weathervane? Oh little raven, where are you?

Hmmmmm that lump looks awfully suspicious.....

Breakfast on the patio is looking even more out of the question.

After knocking off the snow a couple of times the latest additions equal up to:

I think this old dog kennel with a sagging tarp probably shows just how much snow we've been receiving. It was way beyond flush to the top.

Emu-sicles, I think I've been seeing a bit of a homicidal glint in their eyes when I go into their pen to feed......

Some snowy sheep.....

The dogs are still enjoying it, probably Kylie the most. She has found she loves just sticking her head into the snow up to her ears.....I wonder if it smells good or something......

Still trying for those action shots....

Anyone need critters towed? Might be awhile with this set-up......

My Subaru is now to the point where you really can't tell what kind of car it is.

Old man Hooch, is none to pleased with this snow and has been complaining to me about it.

"Those darn dogs! Can't you keep them from flying around and spraying snow everywhere?" "How is a cat to avoid them???"

Lastly just a few more (Surprise!) snowy pics....I promise I'll post about something else soon.....even if it's just about my impending insanity!! :)

Just know that you aren't alone Tammy, I was at that same point last year... That's why and when I started my blog. Somehow it kept me from going totally crazy. ;) Keep your chin up and your feet warm!

Good grief...I'd be pouring anything available into my loco cocoa if I were in your shoes right now. Keep the snowy pictures coming - if for no other reason than to have something to reminisce about sometime next August. Stay warm!

We get snowed in sometimes, and although I really enjoy being a homebody, my brain likes to know that I can get out if I WANT to. Sounds like you have electricity, cabin fever sets in big time when we're snowed in with no power. Unlike the songs, there is no romance in the air at our house. I've tried to read by candle light, don't know how our ancestors did it.

Did you say you live at the North Pole? My goodness!

Your cat looks about as thrilled as ours does when it comes to snow (and dogs). But the ducks just soldier on, don't they? I'm amazed at how tough they really are.

I wonder how much more snow you could get on that patio table before it collapses like the canopies?

Poor animals! Cats hate snow, at least mine do. Dogs on the other hand seem to love snow. I guess I can't complain about the weather we've been having here, even though I haven't been happy about it.

You have all week off work don't you? Or does that not start till Wednesday.. The one thing I loved about working at that place was the nice long Xmas/New years week.

Wish I was there. I'd be drinking a "tody" with ya by the fire. How fun.. Now I know why Guerd didn't come home.. he didn't want to sweep off the canopies!!

Wonderful photos. Had to chuckle at the cat on the wheel :o)

Can't remember the last time I saw snow like that. Think it was in the mid 1990s over here!

Have a lovely day tomorrow x

Seems like Mexican cocoa mix should have chile powder.... :-)

Love your pics. You certainly live in a spectacular spot!!!!!

I think my fave today is the ducks. Totally monochromatic but for the orange..... Nice.

LOL on Hooch's full face shot! What a funny expression.

Kylie reminds me of my GSD Zuni in the snow. Her face is the first thing she buries. She adores her face in the snow, too.

Those emus might figure out a way to just fly up onto the snow and strut right over the fence if your snow doesn' stop soon.

It sure is pretty, but a little too generous. Poor raven's gone missing, too. :(

Well, since I'm surely going to be having my own version of cabin fever for many weeks of designated bed rest, I think I'd love to join you for some loco cocoa....make mine a little more loco-ier, though. lol!

Stay warm, and I hope you can find your car one day soon..
